I have completed translations of well over 500 texts ranging from academic books and articles on I specialise in business, the social sciences, philosophy, human rights and law, but I have also worked  extensively on medical research and engineering. I also translate literary works. I am flexible and accommodating, and always deliver on time. When appropriate, or when the client so desires, I use computer assisted translation software, or CAT (SDL Trados Studio 2015).

My translation services cover the following:

  • translation of texts. This may include suggesting ways of reorganising arguments or identifying  examples or equivalents of the original that are culturally appropriate or geared to the intended audience (“localization”)
  • close liaison with authors if they are available and interested, generally by using the comments feature of MSWord to indicate passages where the meaning or argument is not clear
  • if allowed by any institution you may be attached, correcting spelling errors in references and bibliography and highlighting inconsistencies
  • full proofreading of the completed text and incorporation of changes requested by the client, within the overall price
